What You’ll Do:
The ProjectEngineer will work in the corporate offices for this large manufacturingcompany and will support projects throughout the U.S., as well as North andSouth America. This company has five to ten $2-3MM projects planned out fornext year, and this position is responsible for everything from scopedevelopment and front-end project work, through to the management of vendors,selection of equipment, oversight of installation and finishing out withcommissioning and start-up. Currently, there is a team of 12 engineers in thisgroup, and the hiring manager is looking to add one to two more mid-careerfolks. Travel for this position will vary, but will average 20-30%, mostlydomestic. Overall, this company and its subsidiaries operate over 100 plantsaround the world, so there is certainly no shortage of work for this group. Thecapital budget is set to expand next year as well, so there should be capitalavailable for even more projects than they have typically had in recent years.

The officeis in Lexington, Kentucky (population 300,000+), just off of the Bourbon Trail,and located in the heart of Equine Country. Lexington is about an hour fromLouisville and about 90 minutes from Cincinnati – all of which offerworld-class universities (University of Kentucky, University of Louisville andUniversity of Cincinnati), a full-slate of professional and college sportsteams and a myriad of entertainment options.
B.S. in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering REQUIRED (the two hiring managers are both chemical engineers)
8+ years of post-college industry experience is REQUIRED
Acceptable industry background would be foods, agri-business, chemicals, or something closely related
Potential candidates must have managed projects in the $1-2MM range, on their own
PMP Certification or PE License is a big plus, but no required
Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time
